Michael D Brady, Chief Executive Officer – Michael graduated from a Liberal Arts University in East Texas where he received a double major in Business Administration and Economics with minors in public speaking and Theology. Entering the insurance industry over 30 years ago, Michael was recruited by Prudential out of college where he received education in life insurance and estate planning. From there he moved into brokerage, primarily in the senior market space. Eventually, spending 15 years in the group market helping in launching some of the first online platforms in the country. Michael ran a large General Agency in Los Angeles as the President. In 1997 he was instrumental in forming Merchants Benefit Administration. For over 20 years he has been involved in developing and leading MBA into a dominant position within the industry as a National Third-Party Administrator.
Lynn Doran, President – Lynn holds an MBA in Business Management. She is an active member in the Society of Human Resource Management Association (SHRM). With over 20 years of operational experience within the insurance industry. Her background and education provide expertise within the organization; including Human Resources. Prior to joining Merchants Benefit Administration (MBA) Lynn has achieved progressive leadership within her career; managing Medicare and worker compensation-based products. Lynn has had the opportunity to obtain a very diverse background from business development to Human Resources she obtained a Certification in Human Resource Management in 2007 and her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation in 2010. Lynn managed the strategic planning for the successful transition and the effective in-sourcing of MBA’s administrative operations.
Jennifer Bernitt, Chief Financial Officer – With more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience, Jennifer has an extensive background in business management. Her leadership extends well beyond accounting into team development, business strategy, and creating a cohesive work environment across all departments. Jennifer joined the MBA team in July 2018.
Steve McHenry, Chief Operating Officer – Steve is an experienced Operations and Program Management executive, and holds an MBA in Operations Management. He joined MBA in 2021 and has worked to enhance the structure and controls of the day-to-day operations. Steve has been trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt and is passionate about using data to drive decisions and manage processes. Before joining MBA, he spent fifteen years leading large-scale program initiatives in a major US bank including cross-enterprise regulatory initiatives, International expansion and country operational deployment efforts, and several large card services programs. Prior to that, Steve led the build-out and operational growth of two start-ups, one in Pharmacy Benefits Management and the other in Merchant Credit Card Processing. A native of northern Ohio, Steve and his family have become fans of the desert Southwest and the warm weather, making Arizona their home for the last twenty years.
